These growers often lack access to customized agronomic support due to high consulting fees and limited-service availability.

We believe that the most productive soils are soils where calcium is free to manage and govern the reaction within the soil system. The ideal soil is dominated by calcium and structured to support air, water, and root growth. Sustainable soil management begins not with adding more inputs, but with understanding what is already present and how it compares to the ideal.

At SDG we align with the foundational work of early soil scientists such as William Albrecht and others who developed and applied the soil base saturation ratio concept. We believe their work was not intended to prescribe rigid targets that must be forcibly altered, but rather to establish an ideal reference point against which soils could be evaluated.
